General Description:
Financial Support Department (Helpdesk) Specialist will be responsible for resolving client issues relating to the financial area within a medical practice.
Skills required:
- Adept in medical insurance adjudication (billing with various electronic formats is a plus)
- Proficient in bookkeeping, preferably accounting skills
- Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
- Capable of imparting knowledge to others
- Affluent interpersonal communication
- Ability to calm distressed callers and guide them through the resolution process.
- Ability to gauge a caller's skill-level, as it pertains to the task at hand, and to then tailor the pace, depth and format of support appropriately.
- Must be able to take on multiple tasks and maintain a courteous and professional composure while working under stressful and fast-paced conditions. Requires the ability to prioritize support issues based on the issue's impact to the client's operation.
- Must be logical, analytical and detail-oriented.
- Ability to combine technical knowledge with creative thinking and to apply those attributes to the mission of total client satisfaction.
- Ability to quickly learn and communicate new technologies and requirements to technical, non-technical and management audiences.
- Working knowledge of related software such as: Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
