Corporate History:
Dennis Ulrich M.D., Burton Ulrich, and Sandra Allen corroborated on
the development of medical office software for the Ulrich Medical
Clinic at East Bernstadt Kentucky, beginning in March 1999. Efficiency
and improved collections were beyond all initial expectations.
In January, 2001 these three individuals formed Ulrich Medical
Concepts Inc., with the express purpose of marketing the software,
now called Team Chart Concept, to medical offices everywhere.
During
the summer of 2001, marketing and strategy sessions with Curt Jones
and Dan Jarrett were arranged to bring their marketing and financial
experience into the group. Office space was leased at the
Information Age Park. Preparations were then made to begin marketing
in the Paducah area with Curt Jones promoting initial contacts.
Initial
performance goals included the successful sale and installation
of the software in four physician offices during the first half
of 2002. All parties
agreed that sales of this magnitude in the Paducah region should
generate sufficient local interest to sustain sales momentum well
into the future. Every effort, including hiring adequate support staff, was
made to ensure that customer satisfaction would be enhanced by a
very careful attention to detail after the sale.
Meanwhile,
a physician recruited by Dr. Ulrich became the second successful
customer . This physician
resurrected an abandoned medical practice in London Kentucky, with
three completely untrained employees.
In two weeks, with the help of Judy Ulrich and Sandra Allen,
that practice rebounded from a defunct state to a vigorous and successful
medical establishment. It
enjoys continued growth and is still setting new performance records.
Curt
Jones , Sandra Allen, and Burton Ulrich, assisted by Roxanne Langston,
began deployment a 5 provider practice in Paducah Kentucky during
November of 2001, with a opening
date of January 1 2002.
This was accompanied by the simultaneous opening of a solo-practioner
under less than ideal circumstances.
By
February 2002, Dr. Randell Resser of the Purchase ENT Group was
able to take his fully developed software to Vanderbilt University
and demonstrate the effectiveness of the software to be residents
there during the ENT grand rounds.
Favorable publicity began to appear in the Paducah news media.
The software company began
to expand by hiring other personnel and making other sales from
March 2002 until the present. Today, Ulrich Medical
Concepts continues to experience rapid, but manageable growth, as
more and more providers and health care professionals realize the
financial, clinical, and time-saving benefits of the Team
Chart Concept.
