Regular follow-up for the patient
undergoing a planned sequence of treatments is difficult for patient
and practitioner alike. If a carefully detailed plan of treatment
is initially explained to the patient and demonstrated in the graphic
scheduler or appointment format, follow-up and adherence to treatment
plans and protocols are much more likely. Documentation of
services during the visit are much more complete, with observations
of both normal and abnormal findings detailed in the record while
the patient is present for review. We find that this coupling
of rapid recording of observation enhances both the quality of the
medical record and the profitability of any practice.
